"Accoring to locals, if you drove to the site at midnight, stopped your car on the bridge, turned off the ignition and
sat quietly in the car, you'd hear the mother in the woods calling for her child, followed by the sounds of a baby crying
a few minutes later. As if that weren't enough, you'd try to start your car and it wouldn't start so you'd have to push your
car off the bridge."

off of the bridge. If you park your car there at midnight it will not start back up and you will hear a woman crying or her
Anderson - Cry Baby Bridge - The Cry Baby Bridge is where a baby died in the car crash.
It wasn’t found when the police came and the baby was left. It ended up dying. If you go across the bridge you can hear
In reality, the story seems to be original to Indiana, referring to an event which happened in the late 1950's or 1960's
when a young pregnant and unwed mother delivered her own baby in an automobile and then disposed of the infant by throwing
it over the rail of a bridge. The infant did not land in the river, but instead landed on the bank and, badly injured, began
to cry. The mother, horrified, left in a panic. After the mother left, several other automobiles passed the site
and heard the cries, but did not stop to investigate. The infant lived for many hours until it died fron its injuries and exposure
late the next day. The baby was found, but with the technology of the day, could not be identified.
The legend began when the mother compulsively continued to return to the site and claimed she heard crying. Soon, others
were able to hear it too. An area of sad and intense spiritual energy. For this reason the location of the actual
site will not be described here.
